Hallo

Well, I guess that the coffee entry is getting a bit old so here I am, back again for another update in this endless cycle of weblogging... today has been pretty neat actually, got up earlier then I have in the last three weeks, went to church, absorbed a great message, went to pizza hut with my family- and now I have an afternoon to relax before I go hang out with my buddy Blake Barner :)

Yesterday was pretty cool too- I cleaned my room(as much as I could at least amidst all the packing mess) dusted the apartment, and then the fun began for real :) I decided to cook something that I'd never tried before.... sooo- after looking through the cookbook for like fifteen minutes (yes, I'm that much of a nerd, haha) I decided to make these potato toppers... sounds odd on here, but they were really yummy....I surprised myself- because as many of you know I'm not the most amazing of cooks out there.... but I'm beginning to believe my mom, who says that I just need more practice...I mean common! both my Grammas were amazing cooks, my mom is even better, I'm in for having some talent from one of them at least!  Right past the cooking topic- uhm after that was done and eaten ;) I started painting, which I haven't gotten to do in awhile...was a little nervous that would end up looking like a splash of random colors- however so far so good and I'm seeing shape come out and everything, so I have high hopes that this'll be a really neat piece when I'm finished with it... maybe i'll even post a pic on here if its good enough! haha...oh which reminds me, I have a couple pictures to post on here from the USA part of my summer ;)

so, I'll close the writing part of this post now with a hello, goodbye, love you, miss most of you, can't wait to get your hundreds of comments (ya right ;)) and all that jazz! -Val

Something Special

Ah, yes.....and she's back!

this entry will be dedicated to my feelings about something very important, amost crucial, in my life.... coffee

I was sitting here, typing out the random things that came to my head that seemed like 'ok' subjects to post for the general public to read....but what you didnt know is that I've only had about three hours to sleep, and so I feel like I have a hangover- yeah- splitting headache type of deal!  And, as I groaned with the not so good feeling I reached over and grabbed onto this huge mug of steaming starbucks coffee...

Now, I don't think I can completely or adequately describe the power in something like a hot cup of fresh starbucks coffee...however this sleep depraved mind is still going to try ;)

You know how it goes, crawl out of bed, hair in your face, gritty feeling all over- and all you feel like doing is groaning.....so (now i'm moving into first person) I make my way downstairs, painfully....and stumble into the kitchen- where this aroma hits me....suddenly my steps are much surer, because I have a purpose. Its like heaven opens a door, and sends you a way to escape the horrible just woke up after a long night feeling. (back to first person again) SO! I get my cup of coffee

NOW is the point where I stand in the middle of the kitchen and just stare into the cup, mesmerized by that lovely smell wafting ou tof the cup....its otherworldly, amazing that  I can be holding something this good...oh oh- and here's the crucial point, i take a sip..ooooooooooooooooooooooooh

now that was good

wow

really really good

suddenly, the morning is bright, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the grass is green- woohoo! its a new day!

wait, I need another drink....so the rest of my morning carries on in this fashion....tired, then a drink and whoosh! more energy for a new day....and by the time I've reached the end of my cup- i'm all dressed, ready to go and take on a new day.

So ladies and gentlmen, you see there is much, much, much more involved in my morning coffee then meets the eye ;)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I only have half a cup left- and still a lot to do before I'm ready...so I need to get moving...

Don't you just love the way air feels right after it's rained....wow! so fresh!

HALLO!!

Hello to everyone out there reading my postings.... currently I have a three story house all to myself, (except for my brother who's dead asleep) and I'm trying to think of something fun to do with this opportunity. What would YOU do if you had all this space and privacy for almost two hours?

So, I have currently formed a new hobby, and its kinda wierd let me warn you :) I like looking at home improvement type magazines to get ideas about what i could do in my 'dream' apartment that I plan on getting in about four years... seriously- its a lot of fun when you get into it:D its like, the sky's the limit where dreaming is concerned..haha

anyways, moving onto something not quite so odd, my parents have decided to install a wireless system in our apartment when get back to Moscow, which means that i'll be on ALL the time the whole month and a half i'm there....woohoo- I'm pretty happy about it, it almost makes up for the changes that have been happening in my new improved old room turned into dad's office situation.

Right, so i'm gonna submit this entry and start a new one now....cuz I feel like it ;) -Val
